Stellenbosch Street Soirées

Stellenbosch Street Soirées the bi-weekly food and wine gatherings transformed the lower part of Church Street into a colourful gourmet and grape hub, with complimentary wine tastings offered by various estates of the Stellenbosch wine area.

Yesterday (13.02.2013) Delheim and Hartenberg offered some fresh Sauvignon Blanc Must (Federweißer) unfortunately without onion tart (Zwiebelkuchen). I tasted the Hartenberg Riesling 2012 which is really excellent, Delheim had a very interesting blend of Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc called Herrenwijn. But my personal new discovery were the red wines of the Kyburg Wine Estate, a little boutique winery in Devon Valley, Stellenbosch. You can taste their wines only by appointment or maybe in 2 weeks at Stellenbosch Street Soirées.
